Judah: A Series (Part 5)

Let’s pause on Judah’s story take a quick trip to the future.

”The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is his.“ Genesis‬ ‭49‬:‭10‬ ‭BSB‬‬

Judah had the prophetic destiny that the sceptre and the staff shall not depart from Judah. All his brothers would worship him. He would “press the neck of his eñemïes” (it’s in the Bible). He was called a lion and a lioness. He would was his clothes in wine, and live in royalty. Even Jesus would become the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Despite all his glorious destiny, coconut head wasted his destiny on on-ly-fans 🙄.

Despite all his glorious destiny, Judah handed all the precious possessions. His signature staff. His signet ring. His necklace/cord that held the ring. Judah handed everything to a runs-girl he met at the Temple. He was not a kid. He was probably in his forties or fifties here. He had a thriving business. Yet, not once did he stop to think, “This request is not normal!”

It was a transaction. The same way Jacob tricked Esau. The same was Laban tricked Jacob. That was the same way Tamar tricked Judah. And when she couldn’t be traced, Judah took his big-L in peace. He had been played by some small girl just to satisfy some craving he recently had.

Judah had so far refused to learn, another misstep in his growing list of missteps and misfortunes. It seems wherever Judah went, trouble had a way of catching up with him. He always landed in troubles somehow. And this was just the beginning.

There was a pregnancy!
